Feminine Country BedroomCountry at Home : Episode CAH-806 -- More Projects »
Rebecca Ersfeld has kept the best of the old in her Chicago-area home plus added some antiques and recycled items to create a feminine country bedroom that is like a little jewel box. Antique floral wallpaper was uncovered when she started renovating her home. The vintage paper helps give this space its feminine, cozy appeal. An antique wrought-iron bed, filled with layers of country bedding, creates an inviting sanctuary and focal point in the room. Beside the bed is a miniature antique child's bed that adds a charming touch to the space. Other antiques have been incorporated, such as a steamer trunk and dress mannequin used for storage and accent. Ersfeld has created a country bedroom that has easy old-fashioned appeal, with a look that is worn and well loved.
Some of the accents you can find in this romantic country bedroom include:
- Inviting soft white linens and fluffy pillows that dress the white iron bed.
- A brick fireplace, with an architectural element placed above for texture.
- Wallpaper, pillows and hatboxes in a rose motif pattern that emulate the wallpaper.
